ABOUT ROSCOMMON RACES
Roscommon Racecourse has been hosting horse racing events since 1885, with a rich history that dates back to 1837.
The course is right-handed, with a length of one mile and two furlongs and a marked incline to the winning post.
Many of Ireland’s best-known racing personalities have their roots at Roscommon, and the course attracts support from leading trainers and jockeys in both Flat and National Hunt Racing.
The Kilbegnet Novice Chase and the Lenebane Stakes are the course’s biggest races, and the venue has also hosted a variety of other events, including music concerts and sporting competitions.
